Groundspeak Travel Bug Details
In 2002, near the the beginning of my Geocaching adventures, I set loose a “travel bug” in Virginia. I was quite pleased when less than a year later, it made it to California (via Maryland, Illinois, Florida and Pennsylvania).

Imagine my glee when I was notified today that the little echinoderm has now trekked all the way to Tasmania! (Via California, Oregon, Hawaii and Australia.) This little puppy has travelled 19,908 miles!

[It should be noted that while the TB tag is the original, the sand dollar itself is actually a successor, as the original one disintegrated but was graciously replaced by generous geocachers back in October 2003.]
